Q1 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Vermilion County?

There were 34 offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Vermilion County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Chambana Sun.

The data shows that 32 men and two women were released in Vermilion County. The median age of the parolees was 35. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2017, and the oldest was a 63-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Anthony J. Sanchez. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2011 when he was 19 years old. He is now 27.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter in each Vermilion County municipality.
