Rep. Mary Miller, U.S. Congresswoman representing Illinois’ 15th district since 2021, posted a series of statements on her social media account criticizing recent Democratic initiatives and voicing support for Republican-led fiscal measures.
On July 17, 2025, Miller expressed concern over a vote regarding the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), stating: "Every Democrat but TWO just voted for a Central Bank Digital Currency. Let that sink in: They want the power to track, monitor, and control how YOU spend your money. A CBDC gives the federal government a direct line to your bank account, bypassing private banks and handing".
Continuing her criticism of Democratic policies, Miller wrote on July 18, 2025: "The Democrats are in a rage because we’re finally delivering what American voters demanded: cutting waste, fraud, and abuse; shrinking government; and demanding transparency and accountability."
Later that same day, she announced her support for President Trump’s proposed budget cuts: "I proudly voted YES for President Trump’s rescissions package to slash $9 BILLION in woke, taxpayer-funded garbage — including cuts to PBS, NPR, and USAID. The days of Democrats’ taxpayer-funded propaganda and far-left global programs are OVER. We’re holding them accountable and".
Mary Miller has represented Illinois’s 15th District since replacing John Shimkus in 2021. Born in Oak Park in 1959 and currently residing in Oakland at age 63, she holds a BA from Eastern Illinois University.
