Rep. Mary Miller, U.S. Congresswoman representing Illinois’ 15th district since 2021, recently used her social media platform to comment on state governance, federal legislation, and education unions.
On July 16, 2025, Miller criticized Illinois state leadership by stating, "Illinois taxpayers are being ripped off by their own government. I’m not surprised. This is classic JB Pritzker incompetence."
Later the same day, she addressed recent federal action regarding drug policy: "President Trump has officially signed the HALT Fentanyl Act into law. This is a major victory in the fight to end the deadly fentanyl crisis that spiraled out of control under Joe Biden. Thank you, @POTUS, for protecting American lives!" The HALT Fentanyl Act aims to address the ongoing opioid crisis in the United States.
On July 17, 2025, Miller commented on union influence in education policy: "Becky Pringle and her radical NEA union have no business holding a federal charter. Today, I stood with @RepMarkHarrisNC, @RepRalphNorman, @DeAngelisCorey, and @Moms4Liberty to demand an end to their special treatment. Enough is ENOUGH!"
Miller was born in Oak Park, Illinois in 1959 and currently resides in Oakland at age 63. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a BA degree.
