Rep. Mary Miller, who has represented Illinois’s 15th District in the U.S. Congress since 2021, recently shared a series of posts on social media addressing federal education policy, budget legislation, and state-level governance in Illinois.

On July 14, 2025, Miller expressed approval regarding changes to federal education oversight. She stated, "This is great news! The days of D.C. bureaucrats indoctrinating our kids with left-wing garbage are coming to an end."

Later the same day, Miller commented on President Trump’s proposed rescissions package. She wrote on July 14, 2025: "President Trump's rescissions package slashes $9.4 BILLION in waste, fraud, and abuse, including funding for PBS & NPR. The House has delivered, now it’s time for the Senate to pass it. What’s @SenateGOP waiting for?"

In a subsequent post dated July 15, 2025, Miller criticized policies under Illinois Governor JB Pritzker. She said: "Welcome to JB Pritzker’s Illinois, where violent crime runs rampant and illegal aliens get VIP treatment on the taxpayers’ dime."

Mary Miller succeeded John Shimkus in Congress in 2021 and is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a BA degree. Born in Oak Park in 1959, she currently resides in Oakland.
