Rep. Mary Miller, who has represented Illinois’ 15th District in the U.S. Congress since 2021, posted a series of statements on social media addressing national political issues and her legislative priorities. Miller, born in Oak Park, Illinois in 1959 and a graduate of Eastern Illinois University, is known for her outspoken views on government accountability and public broadcasting.
On July 10, 2025, Miller alleged that President Biden’s physician was not truthful with the public regarding the president's cognitive health. She wrote: "Biden’s doctor lied to the American people about his cognitive decline, and Democrats helped cover it up. SCANDAL OF THE CENTURY! The American people deserve the truth and accountability. Make Kevin O’Connor testify."
Later that day, Miller criticized federal funding for public broadcasters PBS and NPR. In her statement posted at 23:19 UTC on July 10, she said: "No more taxpayer-funded Leftist propaganda. DEFUND PBS & NPR!! @SenateGOP"
On July 11, 2025, Miller commented on recent congressional voting patterns regarding a bill she supports. She stated: "REMINDER: Every single Democrat in Congress voted AGAINST the Big, Beautiful Bill that puts $13,500 back in the pockets of Illinois families, supports our farmers, and secures our border. They have turned their backs on the American people. Never forget."
Mary Miller succeeded John Shimkus as representative of Illinois’ 15th district in 2021 and currently resides in Oakland.
