City of Gibson City Council met October 2. 

Here is the minutes as provided by the council:

Call to order by Mayor Daniel Dickey at 7:00 pm

Roll Call:     Ward #1     Susie Tongate, present; Brandon Roderick, present

                    Ward #2     Randy Wyant, present; Nelda Jordan, present

                   Ward #3      Doug Parsons, present; Scott Davis, present

                  Ward #4       Dennis Pardick, present; Laura Miller, presentOthers present: 

City Superintendent Randy Stauffer, and Ross Brown (Ford County Record/WGCY).

.Pledge of Allegiance: led by Alderman Laura Miller.

Mayor Dickey recognized visitors: none

New Business:

A.)Discussion, Consideration and Approval of Placing the Falcon Logo on the City Water Tower.

Discussion: City Superintendent Randy Stauffer reported that placing the Falcon logo would cost $6500.00 and would be placed on the East side of the water tower facing the GCMS football field. The black Falcon would be trimmed in red. Alderman Randy Wyant stated that he had been against the city paying for the logo placement, but had since decided it would be a nice gesture to the school district for the city to pay for it. The other council members agreed.

Motion by Brandon Roderick; 2nd by Susie Tongate.                     MC 8-0.

To read: Alderman Brandon Roderick motioned to approve the cost of placing a 10’ x 10’ Falcon Logo on the water tower, not to exceed $6500.00 paid from TIF account, and facing east toward the GCMS Football field.

Announcements/Comments: none

Adjourn: Alderman Dennis Pardick motioned to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Brandon Roderick. Council was poled with 8 ayes/ 0 objections.
