Gov. Bruce Rauner announced three new leadership appointments Friday.
The governor named Kathryn Jean Olson new chair of the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board. Olson is a board member and dental director at Crusader Community Health and has nearly two decades in private practice as a dental hygienist. Overall, Olson brings nearly four decades of health system experience to her new leadership role.
Rauner also appointed John McGlasson to serve on the board. Rauner's office praised McGlasson's diverse background in community services, business and local government as an asset to the board's perspective.
The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board is in charge of approving or denying the construction of new health facilities based on uniqueness of location and type of services, prioritizing new buildings in underserved areas.
Rauner also appointed Eastern Illinois Univeristy alumnus and experienced business manager Daniel Caulkins as a trustee at his alma mater. Caulkins is vice president of Patterson House Inc., which operates home for adults with developmental disabilities. He has more than four decades of business experience and local government.
