Illinois and Michigan played to a 1-1 draw on Sunday at U-M Soccer Stadium in Ann Arbor. Illinois, with a record of 12-4-2 overall and 5-4-2 in the Big Ten, secured a point late in the match when Cayla Jackson scored her seventh goal of the season in the 84th minute.

The game was scoreless through halftime. Michigan's Jenna Lang broke the deadlock by scoring in the 54th minute, giving Michigan (6-8-4, 3-4-4 B1G) a temporary lead. Illinois had limited offensive opportunities throughout the match, registering only two shots on target: one from Sarah Foley in the 22nd minute and Jackson’s equalizer.

Goalkeeper Izzy Lee made seven saves during the match. This performance increased her season total to 102 saves, making her just the fifth goalkeeper in program history to surpass 100 saves in a single season. She is also the first Illinois keeper since Claire Wheatley in 2013 to reach this milestone. Lee’s total now ranks fourth all-time for single-season saves at Illinois.

Michigan outshot Illinois by a margin of 17 to 7 and had eight shots on goal compared to Illinois’ two. Despite being outshot, Illinois managed to secure one last Big Ten point for their regular season campaign, finishing with a total of 17 points.

With this result, Illinois has clinched a spot in the Big Ten Tournament and will wait for other match results to determine their seed and schedule.
