The University of Illinois women's golf team will conclude its fall season by participating in the Landfall Tradition tournament, held at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, North Carolina. The event is scheduled from Friday, October 24, through Sunday, October 26.
The Country Club of Landfall is recognized as a prominent collegiate golf venue. It offers 45 holes designed by Pete Dye and Jack Nicklaus and has previously hosted the NCAA Division I Championships in 1995 and 2010. The Landfall Tradition has taken place annually since 2002, with the exception of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The course for this event is set up as a par 72 and measures 6,106 yards.
The tournament will follow a 54-hole stroke play format. Competitors will play 18 holes each day from Friday to Sunday. Tee times on Sunday and Monday are scheduled for 8:30 a.m. CT, while Tuesday’s final round shotgun start is set for 8:45 a.m. CT.
Illinois joins an 18-team field that includes Alabama, UCF, Duke, Furman, Houston, Indiana, Kent State, Kentucky, Maryland, NC State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, SMU, South Carolina, Wake Forest and UNCW.
Representing Illinois in the lineup are Anna Ritter, Alexis Myers, Brielle Mapanao, Victoria Zheng and Erica Lee.
This marks Illinois’ fifth appearance at the Landfall Tradition. In their most recent showing in 2024 they finished tied for thirteenth place; their best result was third place in 2019.

Following this event Illinois will resume play on February 15 at the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational at Palm Aire Country Club in Sarasota, Florida.
