Piatt County said "no" to the statewide property tax levy on the Nov. 6 ballot.
Taxpayers in Piatt County voted against a referendum calling for the Illinois General Assembly to enact a statewide property tax levy to pay for Illinois's pension obligations.
With 100 percent of the votes counted, the referendum had 1,324 votes in favor and 6,133 against.
