The city of Champaign encourages drivers to take notice of changes made to the intersection of Neil Street and Town Center Boulevard.
The northbound lanes on Neil Street now include two left turn lanes, allowing drivers to travel westbound. In addition, one shared lane for through traffic and right turns going northbound and eastbound are available.
Commuters should use caution navigating the modified intersection.
The work could mandate temporary lane shifts or complete closures as crews make the needed changes. All businesses and roadways will be open to drivers during the entire project but while work tales place, drivers are asked to be observant of construction signs posted near the area warning drivers of upcoming changes or delays.
City leaders appreciate the patience of drivers, business owners and residents as improvements to the intersection are complete.
