The County Board of Vermilion County, State of Illinois met in the County Board Room in the Vermilion County Administration Building in the City of Danville, Vermilion County, Illinois.

Upon call of the roll, 23 were present, 4 absent. Mr. Green, Mr. Hart were excused. Mr. A. J. Wright, Mr. Dan Wright absent.

AUDIENCE COMMENTS

Mr. Arthur Cronkhite spoke on the legalization of marijuana as well as the health benefits.

PROCLAMATION-MAY MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH

Chairman Baughn proclaimed May as Mental Health Awareness Month. Executive Director of the Vermilion County Mental Health 708 Board Mr. Jim Russell spoke on breaking the stigma of mental health disease as well as provided tips to help everyone understand what they can do as an individual to help.

Mr. Fourez reported that the Finance Committee met last night. They reviewed the month end finances and there are no red flags. The revenue is slightly behind however the new property tax collections should kick in and balance it out.

APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR THE STATES ATTORNEY-$10,000
