Due to electrical work at the State Farm Center Saturday, the traffic signals at the intersections of First and Fourth streets along Kirby Avenue will be impacted between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The stoplights will be placed on generator power during the specified hours on the 20th; the generator power will allow the traffic signals to operate as normal. In the event of a generator failure, the city will ensure the placement of temporary stop signs at all affected intersections.
Additionally, the electrical work will affect streetlights in the area; drivers and pedestrian can expect the streetlights to be off for the duration of the outage.
