The Urbana City Council approved several zoning requests from the city's zoning administrator on Feb. 15.

The changes included rezoning 1107 E. Florida Ave. from conservation, single-family residential, and medium high density multi-family residential to entirely medium high density multi-family residential, and rezoning 501 E. Windsor Road from single-family residential to conservation-recreation-education.

All of the changes are intended to sync the current use of each parcel with the proper zoning class and also adjust the use of each parcel in accordance with the Urbana Comprehensive Plan.

The changes were previously endorsed by the Urbana Plan Commission on Feb. 4 with a 6-0 vote in support.
