Freshman Adam Jilly represented the University of Illinois at the ITA Central Sectional in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In his first match, Jilly faced Nikita Filin from Ohio State and lost in straight sets.
Jilly then moved to the consolation bracket, where he won his first match against TCU’s Julian Alonso Vivanco with a score of 6-4, 6-4. His run ended in the semifinals after a three-set loss to Perry Gregg of Notre Dame.
The University of Illinois will host the Paine Schwartz Partners Champaign Challenger from November 9 to 16. Following this event, Kenta Miyoshi is set to compete for the Fighting Illini at the NCAA Singles Championship in Orlando, Florida, from November 18 to 23.
