State Representative Brandun Schweizer has announced the launch of his second annual Summer Reading Program, with this year's theme titled "To the Library and Beyond." The program is open to students from kindergarten through fifth grade who reside in or attend school within the 104th House District.

"I am thrilled to be hosting a summer reading program again," said Rep. Schweizer. "My family and I are avid readers, and it is something that is extremely important to me. I encourage all students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade to join me in reading this summer!"

Participants are required to read eight books by July 15th. A parent or guardian must then submit a form either on paper or online at RepSchweizer.com under the "Summer Reading" section found within the Resources tab. Books over 150 pages can count as two, and books read for other programs are also eligible for this initiative.

Upon completion, students will receive invitations to a summer reading celebration with Rep. Schweizer later in the season. Additional copies and PDF versions of the brochures can be requested, and inquiries can be directed to Rep. Schweizer's office at (217) 477-0104.
