WASHINGTON - President Joe Biden announced a new executive order today, aimed at curbing illegal immigration on the southern border. In response, Congresswoman Mary Miller (R-IL) issued a statement criticizing the initiative.

"Joe Biden's 'Open Borders' plan would allow 2,500 illegal aliens to cross into our country per day, when that number should be zero," Miller stated. "Joe Biden is lying when he claims he wants to secure the border because his plan would continue to allow 1 million illegal aliens to walk into our country and receive mass amnesty and welfare benefits paid by U.S. taxpayers."

Miller expressed concerns about the impact of immigration on public services. "The Biden Border Invasion is overwhelming our schools, our hospitals, and our local police departments. Today, we had an Education Committee hearing about schools failing to teach American students because they are spending so much time and money on translators for foreign national students who have no legal right to be here."

She also addressed the issue of cartel operations: "Biden also LIED about how the cartels operate, claiming his actions will stop the cartels when he is actually completing the final leg of the cartels' human trafficking operation by using taxpayer dollars to fly and transport illegal aliens to their final destination."

Miller called for legislative action: "The Senate should pass H.R. 2 to force Biden to reinstate the Trump Administration border security measures immediately."
