The Timberline Valley South Homeowners Association (HOA) organized a neighborhood clean-up event on May 31, 2025. A total of 34 residents participated, disposing of mattresses, box springs, and other bulk items. The event was structured with group leaders renting a dumpster and requiring neighbors to sign up in advance.

In collaboration with a nearby neighborhood group, the HOA facilitated metal recycling as part of a small fundraising effort. Additionally, gently used items were collected for donation to Salt & Light and the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Items were also gathered for the University YMCA Big Sale, which sells donated goods from the University of Illinois's annual Dump and Run event.

Neighborhood groups that are registered can apply for grants up to $2,000 to assist with expenses related to organizing clean-up events.
