City of Hoopeston Police Pension Board met October 16.

In attendance from the Board were members Edye Bookwalter, City Treasurer, Jim DeWitt, Ron Cade and Bill Goodwine. Lourdine Florek, City Council member, was also in attendance.
The Committee reviewed:
o the May through October Profit and Loss
o the investments totaling $2,968,359.06
o the invested CDs
o the expiring CDs in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020
o the interest earned to date 21,843.02.of $29,670.46
o police officer contributions by calendar year
o the total contributions paid per retiree
o the retired officers/surviving spouse current payments
The committee reviewed the Police Pension tax levy amounts as they have grown over the years. The handout suggested that the number of active officers as well as non active recipients has been understated in the past. Officer Cade suggested the current numbers may now be overstated.
