Anthony Drive to close for construction from Oct 7 to Oct 11
White Construction will close Anthony Drive between Dobbins Drive and Campbell Drive. Both eastbound and westbound Anthony Drive traffic will be detoured in the area. The closure will occur between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., starting on Monday, October 7, and ending on Friday, October 11, 2024, weather permitting. Access will be maintained to all local properties.

Kirby Avenue eastbound lane closure set for pavement repairs
Stark Excavating will close one eastbound lane of Kirby Avenue between Waverly Drive and Mayfair Road to complete pavement repairs. In order to replace the concrete curb along Neil Street, A&R Services will close one southbound lane of Neil Street between Hill Street and Main Street. The closure will begin on Tuesday, October 1, and will be reopened by the end of the day on Thursday, October 3, 2024. During the closure, one lane of southbound traffic will be maintained in the area.

City announces roadwork for Brittany Trail Dr. and Southford Trace Dr
As part of the City’s 2024 Concrete Street Improvements Project, the failed pavement on Brittany Trail Drive near Southford Trace Drive and the failed pavement on Southford Trace Drive near Brittany Trail Drive will be reconstructed. Beginning Tuesday, October 1, 2024, Brittany Trail Drive will become one-way, westbound traffic only from Staley Road to Southford Trace Drive.

City officials join Pride Fest & Parade with float and resource booth
On Saturday, September 21, 2024, City Council Members Matthew Gladney and Michael Foellmer, along with City staff from CMO, E&E, and PW attended the 2024 Pride Fest and Parade hosted by Uniting Pride of Champaign County. The City Pride Float was one of 70 floats in the parade. Additionally, the City hosted a resource booth among more than 160 booths present at the event.
