On September 26, 2024, CGTV televised a League of Women Voters Candidate Forum. This event offered Champaign’s residents an opportunity to hear directly from candidates running for County Coroner, County Auditor, and County Board District 5. The forum provided insight into the candidates’ views, qualifications, and plans to help voters make informed decisions in the upcoming election.
The League of Women Voters organized this nonpartisan candidate forum as part of its mission to promote informed and active participation in government. "Through this nonpartisan candidate forum, the League of Women Voters continued its mission of promoting informed and active participation in government," a representative stated.
