On Saturday, September 21, 2024, City Council Members Matthew Gladney and Michael Foellmer, along with City staff from CMO, E&E, and PW attended the 2024 Pride Fest and Parade hosted by Uniting Pride of Champaign County. The City Pride Float was one of 70 floats in the parade. Additionally, the City hosted a resource booth among more than 160 booths present at the event.
"The City is always excited to sponsor and participate in this day of pride and community!" stated a city representative. Staff members dressed up, danced, distributed candy, handed out resources, and shared in the festivities with the CU community.
