Junior Jeremy Zhang will represent the University of Illinois at the Big Ten Individual Championships in Madison, Wisconsin. The tournament will take place from October 31 to November 2 at Wisconsin's Nielsen Tennis Stadium.

Zhang is the only member of the Fighting Illini men's tennis team competing in this event. This marks his fourth tournament appearance of the fall season, following participation in the Harvard Chowderfest, Hope College RSM Invite, and ITA Midwest Regional.

At his last collegiate tournament, the ITA Midwest Regional, Zhang secured a first-round victory against Andy Hadziabdic from DePaul before being defeated by Michael Minasyan of Wisconsin, who holds a No. 61 national ranking.

For the Big Ten Individual Championships, Zhang is seeded within the No. 5-8 range and has received a first-round bye. He will face either Vincent Yang from Northwestern or Niels Van Der Sijs from Nebraska in his opening match of singles play.

Student-athletes from Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue, and Wisconsin will also compete in the event.
