Kendall Bostic, a recent graduate of the University of Illinois and former standout on the Fighting Illini women’s basketball team, will join the program’s radio broadcast team as an analyst for the upcoming season. She will work alongside play-by-play announcer Mike Koon, providing analysis during all home games and select road contests.
Bostic recently completed her fourth year at Illinois, where she played under head coach Shauna Green. During her tenure from 2021 to 2025, she was instrumental in helping the program achieve two NCAA Tournament appearances and win the 2024 WBIT Championship. Bostic started every game during her Illinois career after transferring ahead of her sophomore season and set school records as the all-time leading rebounder and holder of most double-doubles. She led the Big Ten Conference in rebounds per game each year she played with Illinois.
In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Bostic received several honors recognizing her leadership and academic performance. These include being named First Team All-Big Ten in her final season, earning all-conference recognition each year at Illinois, and receiving the 2024 Big Ten Medal of Honor. She was also a four-time winner of both the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award and Academic All-Big Ten selection, as well as a three-time CSC Academic All-District honoree. In 2023, she received Illinois' Female Spirit Award.
Off the court, Bostic completed a bachelor’s degree in speech and hearing sciences in May 2023 and a master’s degree in special education in May 2025. She will continue working with Illinois Athletics as Assistant Director of Development for Varsity I while contributing to game broadcasts.
Bostic is familiar with radio media through previous postgame and feature interviews. Her new role is expected to bring insights from her playing experience directly to listeners throughout the season.
