National Power Rodding Corp. will conduct routine storm sewer maintenance on Bloomington Road, between Prospect Avenue and Harris Avenue. The work is set to begin on Monday, September 29, and is expected to be completed by Friday, October 3, 2025. Maintenance activities will take place daily from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m.
During this period, temporary lane closures are planned and may result in delays for motorists. However, there will be no full road closures. The schedule for the project may change if there is inclement weather.
A Noise Ordinance Waiver has been issued by the City of Champaign so that construction can occur before the early morning commute.
"Temporary lane closures may cause delays, but no total road closures are planned.Work will occur between the hours of 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. daily beginning Monday, September 29. Work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, October 3, 2025. Work is weather dependent and may be delayed in the event of inclement weather. The City has issued a Noise Ordinance Waiver to extend construction hours to allow work to be done prior to the early morning commute."
