The Champaign Fire Department’s Building Safety Division has released information on recently issued building permits for projects with an estimated construction value of $250,000 or more.
Three notable permits were issued in August 2025. The first project at 1207 S. Mattis Ave. involves interior renovations valued at $1,600,000 and was approved on August 14. A permit for alterations to install an automated storage system at 102 S. Duncan Rd., with a construction value of $9,052,343, was granted on August 15. On August 18, a permit for medical office renovations at 1701 W. Curtis Rd., valued at $408,650, was also issued.
According to the Building Safety Division, the total year-end construction value for 2025 is reported as $142,321,736.
