The Champaign Fire Department’s Building Safety Division has issued several building permits for projects with an estimated construction value of $250,000 or more. The permits were granted for a range of property types, including new multi-family and single-family dwellings, as well as alterations and additions to existing structures.
On September 18, 2025, a permit was issued for an alteration at 2906 Crossing Ct., valued at $332,090, designated as a tenant fit out. The same day, a permit was approved for new construction at 305 S. State St., with an estimated value of $7,640,000 for a multi-family dwelling.
Permits for new single-family dwellings were issued on September 22 and September 23 at 1503 Wyndemere Point Dr. ($1,250,000) and 2204 Brookhaven Dr. ($303,000), respectively. Another significant permit was granted on September 23 for a new multi-family dwelling at 105 E. Armory Ave., valued at $7,885,998.
Additionally, on September 24, a permit was issued for an addition to a single-family home at 19 Greencroft Dr., with the project valued at $695,083.
The total year-end construction value in Champaign for 2025 stands at $221,886,659.
