The Champaign Fire Department responded to a fire at a single-family home in the 300 block of S. Fair St. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10:43 a.m. Firefighters arrived to find moderate smoke coming from the residence and used a single hose line to put out the fire, which started in a bedroom.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. No injuries were reported among firefighters or occupants. One resident will be displaced as a result of the incident.
