On June 17, 2025, the Ashland Park Homeowners Association (HOA) organized a neighborhood cleanup event. The initiative focused on removing litter and debris from the north and south ponds near North Prospect Avenue. A group of nine volunteers participated in the effort, collecting a total of 12 bags of trash.
Neighborhood Services supported the event by providing necessary equipment such as litter sticks, buckets, and gloves. Additionally, snacks were available for volunteers during the cleanup. According to HOA leadership, these cleanups result in an estimated savings of approximately $1,700 each time they are conducted.
The HOA has already scheduled their next cleanup for June 21, 2025. This upcoming event will focus on addressing litter in the commons area at Sharp Drive and Luria Lane.
