Hello, my name is Ella Cushing. I am a freshman infielder and a recreation, sport, and tourism major from Downers Grove, Illinois.
This week marks the end of classes with the last day being December 11. Students are preparing for finals and any remaining projects or presentations. As classes conclude and finals approach, there is growing excitement about returning home. "I am super excited to celebrate the holidays with my family and see some old friends I haven't seen in a while!" said Cushing.
Despite her enthusiasm for the upcoming holidays, Cushing expressed eagerness to return and begin her first season. "Although I am excited for the holidays to come, I can't wait to come back and hit the ground running," she stated. She added that everyone shares this anticipation: "We are all excited for the time off but we are also ecstatic to come back and get going!"
Cushing concluded with a spirited "I-L-L."
