Rep. Mary Miller, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Illinois’ 15th district since 2021, recently shared her views on several pressing issues through a series of tweets. Miller, who succeeded John Shimkus in office, has been vocal about various policy concerns.
On March 25, 2025, Rep. Miller tweeted about her meeting with John Galer, a community newspaper owner in central Illinois. They discussed postal service reforms and improving mail delivery reliability for businesses and consumers. She expressed gratitude to Galer for highlighting these issues: "I finished the day by meeting with John Galer, who owns community newspapers across central Illinois. We discussed the need to reform USPS and improve the reliability of mail delivery for businesses and consumers. Thank you, John, for highlighting these important issues!"
Later that day, she addressed financial allocations related to climate equity in another tweet: "Stacey Abrams will NOT be getting $2 billion of your hard-earned money for 'climate equity,' which we all know is just a slush fund for Democrat campaigns." She described this as a win for accountability and the American people.
In another post on the same day, Rep. Miller announced her legislative initiative aimed at protecting female spaces: "President Trump is standing up for our girls’ safety—and Congress must do the same... This week, I’m introducing the Keep Our Girls Safe Act to ban biological males from female-safe spaces." She emphasized the importance of this act in ensuring safety.
