Thomas Detry, a former University of Illinois golfer, is making headlines on the PGA Tour. After a commendable performance at the U.S. Open, Detry has achieved a career-high ranking of 48th in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR). His recent T4 finish at the PGA Championship and T14 at the U.S. Open have also placed him 22nd in the FedEx Cup standings.

Detry, along with fellow Illini Adrien Dumont de Chassart, is poised to represent Belgium in the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics. The final men's Olympic Golf Rankings have been published, marking the end of a two-year qualification period for the event scheduled from August 1-4.

On another front, Brian Campbell, another former Illini golfer who finished T56 at his third U.S. Open last weekend, will compete in this week's Compliance Solutions Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour.

Meanwhile, Matthis Besard is preparing for his 14th DP World Tour start this season at the KLM Open in the Netherlands following a T30 finish at last week's European Open.

In Nashville, Thomas Pieters and his RangeGoats teammates are participating in LIV Golf League events after Pieters' recent tie for 24th place in Houston.

Lastly, Piercen Hunt and Tommy Kuhl are set to play at The Beachlands Victoria Open as part of PGA Tour Americas. Hunt recently secured his professional debut spot through Q School with an impressive performance.
