The Big Ten Network (BTN) has released its broadcast schedule for the 2024-25 wrestling season. The preseason No. 12 Fighting Illini are set to appear on BTN twice this season. Their first appearance will be on Friday, December 6, at 4 p.m., when they face No. 30 Indiana. The second match will be on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 6 p.m. CT in Iowa City against the No. 2 Hawkeyes.
Last season, the Illini appeared on BTN once when they hosted Iowa in Huff Hall on January 26, 2024. In that encounter, they were defeated with a score of 36-6 and will be looking to improve their performance this time around. Previously, the Illini wrestled against the Hoosiers on February 6, 2022, in Champaign where they won decisively with a score of 36-3.
