The Big Ten Conference has released the 2024-25 wrestling schedule for the University of Illinois. The Fighting Illini will compete against eight conference opponents, with four matches at home and four on the road.

Illinois, ranked No. 12 in preseason rankings by InterMat, will begin their conference journey away from home against No. 30 Indiana on December 6 in Bloomington. This encounter marks their 93rd meeting, with Illinois holding a historical edge of 50-41-1 over Indiana.

Champaign will host its first Big Ten dual on January 10 when No. 7 Ohio State visits. Illinois seeks to reverse last year's defeat against Ohio State, which ended with a score of 36-6 in Columbus. Two days later, they will face their in-state rival, No. 26 Northwestern, aiming to extend their series lead after last season's narrow victory.

The Illini are scheduled for three consecutive away duals starting with a match against No. 2 Iowa on January 17 in Iowa City. They will then travel to Maryland and Rutgers the following weekend to take on No. 27 Maryland and No. 18 Rutgers respectively.

On February 1, Illinois returns home to challenge No. 29 Purdue after securing a comeback win last season that improved their all-time record to 60-30-2 against Purdue. The regular season concludes with a home meet against top-ranked Penn State on February 16, where both teams have historically split victories evenly at nine each.

All dates and times for these matches are subject to change.
