Fighting Illini women's basketball head coach Shauna Green has announced the addition of Zachary Choo to her staff as the assistant director of scouting and video. Choo will join the Illinois program after spending three seasons with Wisconsin, where he served as the women's basketball video coordinator since May 2022.

Choo expressed his enthusiasm about joining the team: "I'm thrilled to join the Illinois staff and grateful for the opportunity to reunite with Coach Green," said Choo. "She is a proven winner and an exceptional leader, dedicated to the development of her players both on and off the court. I'm excited to be a part of the famILLy and can't wait to work together to build something special."

At Wisconsin, Choo was responsible for coding and breaking down practice and game film, conducting advance opponent scouting, collaborating with staff for opponent and self-scouting analysis, analyzing Synergy SportsTech clips for projects, managing video content via JustPlay, and contributing to recruiting efforts through graphics creation and visit preparation.

Before his time at Wisconsin, Choo was a graduate assistant at Dayton during the 2021-22 season. He also spent three years as a student manager with Dayton's Flyers. During his tenure there, he worked closely with several current Illinois staff members including Shauna Green.

Choo holds a degree in sport management from Dayton University with a minor in business administration. He co-founded CommittedGraphix during his undergraduate studies where he also worked as a graphic designer.
