Illinois track and field signee Meagan Humphries has set a new record at the USATF U20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon. She surpassed World medalist Anna Hall's previous heptathlon record of 5,660 points, which had been unbroken since 2018, by scoring 5,791 points.
Humphries became the USATF U20 Champion shortly after committing to Illinois on June 12. Since signing with Illinois, she has improved her personal best in the heptathlon by over 300 points from her previous score of 5,452 points. Her performance included winning the high jump, shot put, and long jump events.
