Village of Belgium Plan Commission Met Feb. 22.

Here is the minutes provided by the commission:

The Plan Commission of the Village of Belgium was called to order by Village President Pete Anzia on Monday, February 22, 2021, at 7:00 PM, in the Village Hall, 104 Peter Thein Ave.

1 CALL TO ORDER

2 ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS

PRESENT: Clem Gottsacker, Daniel Birenbaum, Don Tuhy, Joan Gottsacker, Pete Anzia, Vickie Boehnlein, and Carissa Barnes and Clerk Julie Lesar and Building Inspector Roger Kison. Also, in attendance was business owner and resident Sherry Mulloy.

EXCUSED:

a) The meeting is compliant with Wisconsin Open Meeting Laws.

b) All stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to American Flag and Moment of Silence.

3 APPROVAL OF MINUTES

a) Plan Commission Meeting: January 25, 2021.

Moved by Vickie Boehnlein, seconded by Clem Gottsacker, to approve meeting minutes

MOTION CARRIED by the following votes:

Ayes: Clem Gottsacker, Don Tuhy, Daniel Birenbaum, Joan Gottsacker, Pete Anzia, Vickie Boehnlein, and Carissa Barnes

4 BUILDING INSPECTOR REPORT

Village Building Inspector reported that building activity has slowed down. The apartments on First Street may start construction next week depending on the frost level.

5 AGENDA ITEMS: CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING:

Please note – a Quorum of the Village Board and/or a Village Committee may exist. No Village Board action will be taken. Please note, upon reasonable notice, efforts will be made to accommodate the needs of disabled individuals through appropriate aids and services. For additional information or to request services, contact the Village Hall (262) 285-7931.

a) Make recommendation to approve minor land division of parcel #18-014-12- 004.00, 106 North Royal Avenue as provided in CSM. Recommendation made upon Village Engineer's approval. Item tabled from November 23, 2020 Plan Commission meeting: Clerk Julie Lesar stated that the Village Engineer has not provided a review of the plans and that the approval should be contingent upon

Engineers review.

Moved by Vickie Boehnlein, seconded by Clem Gottsacker, to recommend to Village Board approval of CSM.

MOTION CARRIED by the following votes:

Ayes: Clem Gottsacker, Daniel Birenbaum, Don Tuhy, Joan Gottsacker, Pete Anzia, Vickie Boehnlein, and Carissa Barnes

b) Introduce proposed amended ordinances:

- Zoning ordinance #03-21 to repeal §§ 270-20.1, 270-20.2, and 270-20.3 related to condominium overlay districts.

-Zoning ordinance #04-21 to repeal and recreate §§ 270-30 and 270-31 and amend § 270-111 related to conditional use permit and zoning protest procedures.

-Zoning ordinance #05-21 to amend §§ 168-18, 168-20, and 168-87 related to plat approval procedures

No motion was made at this time.

6 ADJOURNMENT

Motion was made by Clem Gottsacker to adjourn at 7:10 pm. Motion was seconded by Vickie Boehnlein. MOTION CARRIED unanimously.
