Rantoul Board of Trustees met August 13. 

Here is the agenda as provided by the board:

Order of Business


1. Call to Order – Mayor Charles Smith

           Invocation

2. Approval of Agenda

3. Recognition of Scholarship Recipients – Samantha Hoy and Jennifer Benavides

4. Public Participation

      Citizens wishing to address the Village Board with respect to any item of business listed on the agenda or any matter not appearing on the agenda are asked to sign in with the Village Clerk prior to the meeting. Comments will be limited to three minutes for each speaker.

Section A – Consent Agenda

5. Approval of Consent Agenda by Omnibus Vote

      All items under the Consent Agenda are considered to be routine in nature and will be enacted by a single motion and subsequent roll call vote. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Village Board member so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as the first item after approval of the Consent Agenda.

Note: All minutes are drafts until approved at the August 13, 2019 Board Meeting. The Village is required to post the approved minutes on their web site within 30 days of approval.

Section B – Consideration of Bids, Contracts & Other Expenditures

8. Motion to authorize and approve contract with CBIZ for appraisal of Village Buildings - $18,600.00

9. Motion to authorize and approve Resolution of Authorization for OSLAD Grant

10. Motion to authorize and approve Resolution of Authorization for BAAD Grant

11. Motion to authorize and approve purchase of 2019 F150 Truck from Shields Auto Group - $24,785.00

12. Motion to authorize and approve Agreement with ESI Consultants for Engineering services on Safe Route to Schools Project - $44,090.00

13. Motion to authorize and approve purchase of dump truck bed from Rahn Equipment Co. - $51,525.69 and truck chassis from CIT Trucks - $92,014.00 plus a contingency of $7,500.00 for a total of $151,039.69

Section C – Consideration of Ordinances & Resolutions

14. Motion to pass Ordinance No. 2618, AN ORDINANCE REVISING THE ANNUAL BUDGET

15. Motion to pass Ordinance No. 2619, AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE SALE OF REAL ESTATE OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF RANTOUL, ILLINOIS (617 East Grove Avenue)

16. Motion to pass Resolution No. 8-19-1286, A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF RANTOUL AND THE RANTOUL CITY SCHOOLS DISTRICT NO. 137 CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL PROJECT

17. Motion to pass Resolution No. 8-20-1287, A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING A LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH CHAMPAIGN COUNTY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION

18. Motion to pass Resolution No. 8-19-1288, A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING A LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH FORTRESS DATA CENTER, LLC
