Champaign City Council issued the following announcement on June 26.
In order to safely perform crane operations to erect steel beams, framing, and facade for the new building at 202 S. Fourth Street, Broeren Russo Builders, Inc. will close Clark Street between Fourth Street and Fifth Street. The street closure will begin on Sunday, July 1, 2018 and will end on Friday, February 15, 2019. No through traffic will be allowed in the area, but access to driveways in this block will be maintained. Marked detour routes will be provided. Minor traffic delays may occur. The City appreciates the cooperation of travelers in the area and encourages caution when traveling through work zones.
