Cornbelt Fire Protection District responded to 92 calls in 2017 - 21.1 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Cornbelt included 47 fires - 26 structure fires, five vehicle fires and 16 other fires.

In all, the department saw $118,600 in fire loss - or about $2,523 per fire.

The department also received 45 false calls.

The Cornbelt Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $1,658,050 in 2017.
