Champaign City Council issued the following announcement on May 18.
In order to replace a water main, Illinois American Water and Cross Construction closed the southbound lane of Locust Street between Green Street and John Street. The lane closure began on May 15 and will reopen on June 8. The northbound lane of Locust Street will remain open during construction, but the block will be closed to southbound traffic.
