Rantoul Plan Commission considers establishing a Planning and Zoning Commission

Rantoul Plan Commission met Jan. 30.

The Rantoul Plan Commission reviews preliminary and final plats for subdivisions within a mile and a half of the village; reviews applications for special use, zoning changes and requests for waivers of the Community Design Standards under the Zoning Ordinance; and makes recommendations to the village’s board of trustees.

PLAN COMMISSION Notice of Meeting Monday, January 30, 2017

There will be a meeting of the Plan Commission on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the Municipal Building.

Agenda:

1. Minutes from August 8, 2016 meeting.

2. Public Comment

3. A public hearing to consider the following proposed text amendments to Chapter 46 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Rantoul, Illinois (known and cited as the "Rantoul Zoning Ordinance").

The President and Board of Trustees of the Village have proposed to establish a Planning and Zoning Commission to perform all powers, duties and functions of the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals under the Rantoul Zoning Ordinance and all references in the Rantoul Zoning Ordinance to the "Plan Commission" and the "Board of Zoning Appeals" are proposed to be changed and amended to the "Planning and Zoning Commission".
