The city of Urbana's Committee of the Whole met Monday to discuss a number of resolutions, including the authorization of the execution of an intergovernmental redevelopment agreement between the city of Urbana and the Urbana Park District pertaining to the Cunningham Avenue Corridor.
The committee also considered a resolution to amend the Urbana City Council Rules of Procedure to move meeting adjournment times from 11 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Alderman Charlie Smyth introduced the proposal.
Several reports were made, including Tracy Parsons and Alderwoman Diane Marlin's presentation on the practice of “Roof Replacement or Cancellation” by insurance companies and its impact on homeowners. Arbor Division activities, the Pygmalion Festival and sewer activity were also covered.
The meeting concluded with a discussion of ordinances pertaining to the possession of drug paraphernalia.
