Champaign County included two scenarios for inventorying the total replacement value of its buildings.
The Champaign County Board met Tuesday at the Brookens Administrative Center to discuss the county's long-term facilities plan and funding.
The meeting materials included estimates for making all of the county's facilities compliant with federal handicapped accessibility requirements over the next three years. Depending on whether or not the retrofits included the county jail, the cost is pegged at between $725,000 and $943,000.
The county also included two scenarios for inventorying the total replacement value of its buildings, based on an assessment conducted in December. Those range between $4.5 million and $5.5 million to maintain 22 or 25 buildings, respectively.
