The village of Rantoul announced details regarding its clean-up day for larger items.

The clean-up day will be June 11 between 8 a.m. and noon. Those wishing to leave waste items are required to be paying for utility garbage service through the village and will need to bring the most recent utility stub as proof of service. No additional charges will be applied and there will not be any other documents needed.

This collection event is for items that would not be considered typical household garbage or yard waste. No hazardous materials, paint, tires or liquid propane tanks will be accepted. This event will not be taking electronics, including televisions.  Any construction waste that is brought in must be at 2.5 cubic yards or smaller to be accepted.

The drop-off site will be the ramp area on the corner of Cook Street and Galaxy Street, on the northeastern side of Hanger 1.

Separate electronics recycling events will be held for Champaign County in May and October.
