The city of Urbana will close Springfield Avenue from Matthews Avenue to Wright Street from 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday to accommodate an open house held by the University of Illinois Engineering Council.
Traffic during those hours will be detoured along Goodwin Avenue, University Avenue and Wright Street.
