The Champaign County Facilities Committee reviewed the results of an accessibility assessment by Bailey Edward Architecture Feb. 2 at the Brookens Administrative Center.
The assessment was part of the county's ongoing efforts to bring buildings into compliance with federal accessibility standards.
Karla Smalley, of Bailey Edward, said the firm estimates activities projected for completion before March 2018 will cost $534,000 to $605,000, plus another $70,000 for retrofits in buildings leased by the county. The project includes parking lots, courtrooms, bathrooms and other large projects.
The committee agreed to consider the costs at a future board meeting.
