The Champaign County Board Facilities Committee met last week at the Brookens Administrative Center to review recommendations from the Department of Justice on the accessibility of county buildings.
Bailey Edwards Architecture presented the recommendations, along with cost estimates for bringing all county buildings into compliance with Americans with Disability Act requirements.
The committee also discussed capital projects for the year ahead and heard updates on lint filtration and fire damper projects at the Champaign County Nursing Home.
The facilities committee consists of Chair Gary Maxwell, Vice-Chair Giraldo Rosales, Jack Anderson, Josh Hartke, James Quisenberry, Jon Rector and Rachel Schwartz.
