The Champaign County Mental Health Board will meet Wednesday at the Brookens Administrative Center in Urbana to hear an update on the Crisis Response Planning Committee, which held its first meeting in November.
Associate Director for Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services Mark Driscoll said he will give a presentation on the committee and its objectives at the board's January meeting. Driscoll will also provide an update on The Reentry Council and The Forensic Team initiatives.
Associate Director for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Lynn Canfield will brief the board on the progress of initiatives and organizations that the board funded this year. She will also discuss planning for the 2016 Roger Ebert Film Festival as a project of the Alliance for the Promotion of Acceptance, Inclusion and Respect.
The board will then consider approving a document formalizing its support for the Champaign Community Coalition and discuss how it can help stem some of the local funding gaps created by the state's ongoing budget stalemate.
The meeting is scheduled for 4:30 p.m in the Lyle Shields Room.
