Champaign Unit 4 School District will hold an informational meeting Dec. 8 for parents interested in the district's gifted program.
The gifted program offers supplementary coursework to provide a challenge for academically talented students that might otherwise not be possible in a general classroom environment. The district offers the program to second- through fifth-graders at Booker T. Washington, Dr. Howard, Kenwood, Garden Hills and Stratton schools.
The informational session will provide details about the program and a forum for parents' questions. Current Unit 4 parents and private school parents are both encouraged to attend.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the board room at the Mellon Administrative Center, 703 S. New St.
